The former president, Barack, and first lady Michele will be hosted by President Joe Biden and FLOTUS Jill Biden at an alternating ceremony in the White House East Room. The presidential portrait unveiling is a historical White House event in the United States of America.  What's significant about these ceremonies is that there is a long-standing tradition where the current president hosts the immediate past president to unveil their official portrait. Air Force One will touch down here at the Pittsburgh air refueling wing in just a few hours. President Joe Biden is coming to West Mifflin to celebrate Labor Day and honour of American workers. The president will head to West Mifflin, where he will speak at the United Steelworkers of America local union 2227. So far, the White House has only announced that the president will be in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh on Labor Day. The head of Milwaukee's labor council told us that the president will visit Milwaukee first and then Pittsburgh this afternoon. Pittsburgh’s Labor Day parade is among the nation’s largest and oldest, but it is not clear that President Biden will attend the march itself. Media reports tell us that the schedule is in flux. However, Biden is expected to speak at a 2022 labor rally in Pittsburgh, possibly with the steelworkers. Instead of marching in a wide-open parade as he has done in the past, An official has told us: The parade is so big and the route so crowded that I can see where security issues would really hamper that. US President Joe Biden will address thousands of Labor union members at the Summerfest grounds on Labor Day. The president's addresses to the labor fest crowd won't be tied to any political campaign or candidate, but organizers acknowledge the political significance of his visit coming just two months before election day.  There is some history here. Pennsylvania is expected to be a battleground state this November. The president will make several visits to the commonwealth over the next week. And we now know that President Biden will deliver a prime-time address right here in Philadelphia today. According to the White House, the president's prime-time speech Thursday will be on what the president says is the ongoing battle for the soul of the nation. US President Joe Biden is heading to Wilkes Barre this afternoon for a speech. This comes about a month after he had to cancel his first scheduled visit. President Biden will be on his way to the Diamond City for an afternoon address at Wilkes University, weeks after his initial visit was postponed when he tested positive for COVID-19.
