President Joe Biden will be in Pittsburgh today to celebrate Labor Day 2022. He is returning to PA today for the Pittsburgh Labor Day Event.
So far, the White House has only announced that the president will be in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh on Labor Day. The head of Milwaukee's labor council told us that the president will visit Milwaukee first and then Pittsburgh this afternoon. Pittsburgh’s Labor Day parade is among the nation’s largest and oldest, but it is not clear that President Biden will attend the march itself.
Media reports tell us that the schedule is in flux. However, Biden is expected to speak at a 2022 labor rally in Pittsburgh, possibly with the steelworkers. Instead of marching in a wide-open parade as he has done in the past,
An official has told us:
The parade is so big and the route so crowded that I can see where security issues would really hamper that. Believe me, if he could, he would. No doubt about it. But, we will know more in the next couple of days.
President Biden held several events planned in Pennsylvania ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. Last week, he was in Philadelphia and Wilkes Barre. Former President Donald Trump also held a "Save America" rally in Wilkes Barre on Saturday in support of GOP candidates Dr. Oz and Doug Mastriano.
