The White House will unveil official portraits of former U.S. president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, today.
The former president, Barack, and first lady Michele will be hosted by President Joe Biden and FLOTUS Jill Biden at an alternating ceremony in the White House East Room. The presidential portrait unveiling is a historical White House event in the United States of America.
What's significant about these ceremonies is that there is a long-standing tradition where the current president hosts the immediate past president to unveil their official portrait. However, that didn't happen when President Donald J. Trump and former president Barack Obama met, which is why Obama's portrait is now being unveiled today.
Former National Finance Chair of Draft Biden, Jon Cooper, asked on his social media, Donald Trump refused to unveil Barack Obama's official portrait at the White House, breaking a 40-year tradition. Who thinks President Biden should likewise REFUSE to unveil Trump’s portrait?
