JUST IN: US President Donald Trump Endorses Julia Letlow for U.S. Senate in Louisiana, Challenging Sen. Bill Cassidy

Washington, D.C. — U.S. President Donald J. Trump has officially endorsed Louisiana Congresswoman Julia Letlow for the United States Senate, signaling strong support for her potential challenge against incumbent Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

In a lengthy statement shared publicly, President Trump praised Letlow as a “highly respected America First Congresswoman” and a “total winner,” highlighting her loyalty, leadership, and service to Louisiana. Trump said he has known Letlow well, has seen her perform under pressure, and believes she would continue delivering for the people of the state if elected to the Senate.

Trump noted that Letlow is considering launching a Senate campaign and emphasized that Louisiana is a state he “won big” multiple times. He added that if she enters the race, she would have his “complete and total endorsement,” closing his message with a strong call: “RUN, JULIA, RUN!”

According to Trump’s statement, Letlow’s priorities would include growing the economy, cutting taxes and regulations, supporting farmers and fishermen, strengthening the oil and gas industry, promoting American-made products, securing the border, combating crime, ensuring law and order, backing the military and veterans, and defending Second Amendment rights.

Shortly after the endorsement, Julia Letlow responded, calling Trump’s support an honor.

“I’m honored to have President Trump’s endorsement and trust. My mission is clear: to ensure the nation our children inherit is safer and stronger,” Letlow said.
“This United States Senate seat belongs to the people of Louisiana, because we deserve conservative leadership that will not waver.”

The endorsement immediately positions Letlow as a major potential contender in what could become a high-profile Republican primary. While she has not yet formally announced her candidacy, Trump’s backing is expected to significantly energize conservative voters and reshape the political landscape in Louisiana.

Political observers note that Trump’s influence among Republican voters in the state remains strong, and his endorsement could prove decisive if Letlow enters the race against Cassidy.

For now, attention turns to whether Letlow will officially declare her run — a move that could trigger one of the most closely watched Senate battles in the country.
