Mike Pence's speech canceled while Trump is returning to Washington DC for America's first agenda Speech

Former Vice President Mike Pence’s planned speech at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC was canceled at the last minute Monday after his flight had to be diverted due to “severe weather.” Pence had been scheduled to address the crowd at 5 p.m. at the Heritage Structure in Washington, DC. 

In his 5 p.m. DC speech, Mike Pence was expected to deliver a set of conservative policies that “he believes will save our great nation,” according to the event details.

The Heritage Foundation is a prominent conservative think tank. He's expected to lay out his so-Called freedom agenda and how Republicans should hit back at The policies of the Biden Administration. 

For people who don't know, how influential is the heritage foundation in republican politics and what does the former Vice President have to gain from speaking there?

So It's enormously influential, and it has changed over the years. When I first came to capitol hill and I will say the 1970s, maybe not literally, it was really a policy organization where, republicans in congress, members, and staff would go for help on issues from foreign policy to healthcare, to taxes, and so forth, you go to heritage on policy, they were the policy experts on sort of everything under the sun. 

What we've seen over the past 10 years, is that it has moved into more of a political organization and has the policy chops but is more political than it is now, so mike pence speaking to this organization suggests not only it speaks to the seriousness of the heritage foundation but suggest that he is serious about moving forward in some capacity, in 2022 and certainly 2024.
