The republican race for Arizona Governor is still too close to call Wednesday morning.

What is the latest on the race between the candidates for governor in Arizona Today?

The numbers still coming in from across the state and changing so what we can tell you right now is candidate Kari lake has taken a lead by a little more than 11,000 votes over her opponent Karen Taylor Robson.

We are still watching votes come in from across the state Maricopa County even tweeting out overnight, that they had finished counting for the evening or early morning hours and they're going to get back at it throughout the day today. Now, Kari Lake's lead is a difference from where she started the evening at 41 thousand votes and nine points behind Robson.

As midnight got closer that gap closed and Lake became the front runner by a small margin. Lake headed into the primary election with most polls showing her taking a lead in the state's Republican race for governor.

Real clear politics polling average shows Lake leading Robson by about nine points. But there was one poll included that showed something different from Emerson college, their final poll showing a dead heat between the two GOP gubernatorial candidates.

Lake a Former TV News Anchor here in Phoenix going up against Robson in this race who is a real estate developer. The race hit the national stage as former President Trump continues to endorse and sing the praises of Lake while Robeson garnered support from former Vice President Mike Pence and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey among other Arizona Republican leaders.

The Maricopa County Elections department again says they do expect to get back at things throughout the day today we can expect more results to be released by the county by 7 PM this evening but again keep in mind it is a statewide race so we are watching other counties with votes continuing to be posted as well.
