मुख्यमंत्री श्री Shivraj Singh Chouhan ने मिंटो हॉल, भोपाल में आयोजित किए जा रहे मध्यप्रदेश शिखर खेल अलंकरण समारोह 2019 का शुभारंभ कन्या पूजन करके किया।

खेल मंत्री श्रीमती यशोधरा राजे सिंधिया ने कहा कि यह मध्यप्रदेश के गौरव की बात है कि हमारे खिलाड़ी देश के लिए दो "ओलंपिक कोटा" लेकर आए हैं। मध्यप्रदेश के ऐश्वर्य प्रताप सिंह सहित दो खिलाड़ी अगले ओलंपिक के लिए भारत के लिए 2 ओलंपिक कोटा लाए हैं।

मंत्री श्रीमती सिंधिया ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री श्री चौहान खेलों के प्रति अत्यंत संवेदनशील हैं। गत सरकार में न केवल वर्ष 2019 का खेल अंलकरण समारोह नहीं हुआ अपितु खेल गतिविधियां पूरी तरह से बंद हो गई। मुख्यमंत्री श्री चौहान ने आते ही खेल गतिविधियां प्रारंभ कीं तथा आज वर्ष 2019 का खेल अलंकरण समारोह हो रहा है।

COVID-19 की वजह से हमारी गतिविधियां विराम की स्थिति में थीं, हमने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिग और वेबिनार के जरिए गतिविधियों को शुरू किया, आज मैं गर्व के साथ कह सकती हूं कि प्रदेश का स्पोर्ट्स साइंस सेंटर, देश का सबसे बड़ा सेंटर है, आज जो बच्चा सोच नहीं सकता था कि मैं ओलंपिक जा सकता हूं वो आज ओलिम्पिक खेल तक पहुंच गया है। हम सपने में भी नहीं सोच सकते थे कि मध्यप्रदेश ओलिम्पिक खेल में एक नहीं दो ओलिम्पिक कोटा लाएगा। इस देश के लिए। मैं कोच जसपाल राणाजी को इस बात का धन्यवाद दूंगी, चिंकी यादव ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया और एक और ओलिम्पिक कोटा लेकर आईं हैं, जो हमारे लिए गौरव की बात है: खेल मंत्री Yashodhara Raje Scindia
