CM announces monetary fund of Rs 203 crore for strengthening rural and urban infrastructure in eight districts of Malwa region

Summoning four days pre-budget meetings with the Congress MLAs, Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on Saturday announced a liberalized fund of Rs.202.35 crore for the development of eight districts of Malwa-2.
After detailed discussions with the MLAs of eight districts of Malwa-2 region of Bathinda, Faridkot, Fazilka, Firozpur, Moga, Mansa, Sangrur and Sri Muktsar Sahib, the Chief Minister called them 'Smart Village Campaign' and 'Urban Environment Improvement Program The Deputy Commissioners of each district have to submit their list of works to be done under 'UEEP' till January 31 so that these works should be timely completed. .
The Chief Minister said that every MLA of eight districts would be provided a grant of Rs. 5 crore in two installments under which the first development works would be started and after completion of the second termination certificate utilization certificate. Apart from this, 300 crores would be spent under UEIP in more urban areas.
Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh also asked the state's block-level plan to prepare this series of development in a time-bound and result-oriented manner. He said that this plan will help the legislators in systematic manner to ensure development of funds and ensure utilization of funds.
He also informed the MLAs that the total outstanding balance of pensions related to the Social Security Department has been paid till January 2019 and Rs.155 crore has been released for 19.5 lakh pensioners each month.
The Chief Minister asked the Chief Principal Secretary to review the current situation with the Principal Secretaries of the Local Government Department and Finance Department for timely completion of the ongoing work of the urban development works.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released 'Table Calendar' based on various historical gurdwaras related to them in the country and abroad as a series of celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev's 550-year Prakash.
Taking part in the deliberations, Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla suggested the formation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Board, which would fund the funds provided by the industry to properly fund the infrastructure of the state. . He appealed to the Chief Minister to approve the medical college for the area.
Dhuri MLA Dalveer Singh Goldy Khangura urged the Chief Minister to immediately construct Railway Over Bridges. He demanded to construct sports stadiums and strengthen the school infrastructure in his constituency. Fazilka MLA Davinder Singh Ghubaya appealed for additional funding for the development of government government colleges and canals. They also demanded more funds to widen the roads. MLA from Ferozepur rural, ITD for Mamdod Besides, he appealed to provide additional funds to provide fire services in his constituency.
Firozpur urban MLA Parminder Singh Pinki has filed PGI Thanking the Chief Minister for granting 25 acres of land for the satellite center. He demanded funds required for the repair of roads in his constituency.
