As we mentioned, DeSantis is appearing along with senate candidate JD Vance. We've already seen him with others like Kari Lake. Is this an attempt by Desantis to build a national profile before attempting a presidential run in 2024? Overall, Desantis is hitting all of the Republican high notes. Not only is he appearing with all of these candidates who have been Trump-endorsed? Many of these election-denier candidates apply the same logic to former President Trump. But he's also motivated a lot of the former president's supporters. He's already built a massive war chest. He will have a busy agenda during his time in the central part of the state. Pence will be a special guest with a lunch with Senator Chuck Grassley to attend the Iowa state fair and visit the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition today. These stops are all to support candidates before the upcoming midterm elections in 2022. Pence is scheduled to visit on August 19th and 20th. John Fetterman Democrat U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman held his first public rally in Pennsylvania Friday, since having a stroke 3 months ago. (August 13) Pennsylvania lieutenant governor John Fetterman is back on the campaign trail. And his first stop was here in Erie, PA. He was at the Bayfront convention center holding his first rally yesterday after suffering a stroke back in May, around 3 months ago.  John was introduced by his wife, Gisele Barreto Fetterman. Whoever wins Erie County will also win the state of Pennsylvania. He also said in a statement that he is proud to get back on the campaign trail here.  He also stated that Erie County is one of Pennsylvania's bellwether counties. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls For Impeachment Of AG Merrick Garland. She is putting forward articles of impeachment against the Attorney General because of the FBI raid against Donald Trump. What I do find interesting is that she says, in part, it's over the AG's efforts to unseal the search warrant for the home of former president Donald J. Trump. It constitutes an attempt to intimidate, harass, and potentially disqualify a political challenger to President Biden. So because he yesterday announced that they wanted to unseal that warrant, he obviously has to be impeached and it says in the articles of impeachment that he will never be able to hold another office in the United States again, which I find fascinating.
