What To Know About Joe Biden's Rally at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland?

Thousands of people were lined up before Joe Biden's Rally in Maryland Well, the stage is set and the candidates are named in the running for Maryland's next governor. Republican candidate Dan Cox and Democratic hopeful Wes Moore will face off in November. But today, the DNC is having a kickoff rally, if you will, in support of Wes Moore. The big draw tonight is President Biden. At Rich Montgomery High School, it is palpable the energy that is as thousands have packed into this small gym to hear from the democratic contingency of Maryland's Steny Hoyer.  Jamie Raskins, the Democratic nominee for Westmoreland governor, will speak here shortly, as will President Joe Biden. They will be talking about a number of issues; health care, they'll be talking about abortion as well, but most importantly, they'll be talking about student loans, that major decision that came from the White House yesterday. I'm laying out the plan for student loan forgiveness that's goi

US Economy Shrank In The Second Quarter, Signaling A Possible Recession

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr Are we heading into a recession? What are Biden's Economic Plans? According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the US economy contracted for the second straight quarter from April to June, hitting a widely accepted rule of thumb for a recession.  The second quarter GDP numbers just release and they show another contraction for the second quarter which could signal the US Economy is in recession.  After the federal reserve raised interest rates again yesterday, the FED chair said the path to avoiding recession is narrowed. It is a very complicated situation. See, people don't like to hear that the KPI is shrinking. But remember by raising rates, that is what Jerome Powell is trying to do. And to simply say, we have a good economy, or we have a bad economy. What is causing inflation in the US? You have seen war in Ukraine. Also, we have supply chain issues that are still lingering from covid. This is complicating things. Bu

Kamala Harris Response After Being Elected Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee | Joe Biden

Kamala harris I am coming to you today with some big news: I’m honored to join Joe Biden in the fight for the soul of our country as the Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee. Joe is a leader who can unify the American people, because he's spent his life fighting for the American people. And as president, he will build an America that lives up to our ideals. My mom and dad, like so many other immigrants, came to this country for an education. My mother from India and my dad from Jamaica. And the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s brought them together. Some of my earliest memories are from that time: My parents being attacked by police with hoses, fleeing for safety, with me strapped tightly in my stroller. That spirit of activism is why my mother, Shyamala, would always tell my sister and me, “Don’t just sit around and complain about things. Do something.” That’s why I became a District Attorney and fought to fix a broken system from within. Why I served as California’s Attorney Ge

Marianne Williamson Congratulates Joe Biden For His Win in Primaries 2020

Marianne Williamson Congratulates Joe Biden For His Win in Primaries Maybe it’s because I’ve been through so much sadness in my life, but I’m not going to let tonight get me down. I’ve known how this game works from very early in the process. I know because I was there. The same group that was gathered around Anderson Cooper on CNN tonight was gathered around me after the second debate, and I saw the look in some of their eyes. Believe me, kids, I know how it works. But Joe himself is a very nice man. He was lovely whenever he saw me on the campaign trail, and his wife is great. A wonderful woman. I am very, very disappointed tonight, but my disappointment is nothing compared to that of tens of millions of young people who have got to be feeling far more loss than I. I wish I could talk to every one of them and say, “Don’t worry, this is just a moment in time.” This too shall pass. Progressives in our history have had bigger setbacks than this. And this moment will give way to
